Clyde Kenneth “Ken” Rowe, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Salisbury, New Hampshire on April 12, 2026 with his family by his side. He was 85 years old.

Ken was born on October 3, 1940 in South Paris, Maine, the son of Clyde Kenneth Rowe, Sr. and Roxie Agnes Snow Rowe. He attended local schools, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Nasson College, and a Master’s Degree in Business Education from New Hampshire College.

He taught business for 24 years at Thayer High School in Winchester, New Hampshire and was advisor to the yearbook. He was a member of the Winchester Teachers Association, serving in every office over the years, as well as serving on the Regional Board of Teachers Association. Ken also served as the President of the New Hampshire Business Teachers Association.

While a resident of Winchester, Ken was a charter member of, and served, on the Board of Adjustment, was a member and instructor in the Hunter Safety Program, the manager of the Cheshire-Windham Rifle League, and the Junior Rifle Club. He also ran his small business, Rowe Misc.

While a resident of Allenstown, New Hampshire, Ken was a stay-at-home Dad, and was employed by Sears and DHL. He also was a coach with the Suncook Little League and the Suncook Youth Soccer Association.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Francine Boutin Rowe and their children, Ernest Clyde Kenneth Rowe of New Hampshire and Emily Simonne Rowe and her husband Brian Ferrier of Vermont; as well as his grandchildren Annabella, Amelia, and Patton. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Christine Holliday-Rowe. Ken also leaves his children Brenda Roxie Rowe of New Hampshire and Diane Jean Rowe and her wife Michele Annibal of Washington State, as well as their mother, Judith Rollings of Maine. He is survived by his sister, Lillian Conant of Florida, his brother, Roger Rowe of Maine, his brother-in-law, Bertrand Boutin of Florida, and his sister-in-law Madeleine Pelletier and her husband George Pelletier of New Hampshire; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ken was a devoted husband, dad, and grandfather. His favorite food was a hamburger, and he chose ice cream for dessert just about every day. His enjoyment was using the farming and automotive skills he learned while growing up, and spending summers in Maine. He had a strong work ethic and was always ready to lend a hand. Ken was a quiet, patient presence in our lives with a keen sense of humor. He focused on being positive; when challenged, he would remind us “to keep our chins up.”

A private family celebration of Ken’s life will be held in the near future. There is no public service planned. Donations in Ken’s memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research; the Dartmouth Hitchcock Disease and Movement Disorder Program; or to Granite VNA at 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301.
