Colleen Lynn White

Colleen White passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 8, 2019 at the young age of 68.

Colleen was born on January 7, 1951, daughter of the late Armand and Rita (Gagnon) Cote. Colleen had a rich and happy childhood with seven loving brothers and sisters. She had a daughter, Holly White and a son-in-law, Erick Costello. She took extreme pride in her three grandchildren, Melody Doane (12), Lilly Costello (9), and Annalise Costello (7), of Loudon, for whom she would caw-caw like a crow on their phone calls. She loved all of her family and they were the most important thing in her life.

Colleen was a kind-hearted woman, extremely hard worker and a dedicated loving mother and a gammy who spoiled her grandchildren without complaint. She was sweet with a side of zest. She always told you the truth even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. She was genuine to a fault, a pussy cat at heart (or lion) and yet, she sugar coated nothing.

Colleen wasn't your average kitchen-dwelling, Kia-owning grandmother, though. She was a feisty woman who loved chocolate, worked till the day she died and had a penchant for "telling it like is". She was a master cook in the kitchen. She believed in overcooking everything until it was well done so you didn't get sick, especially her steak. She was generous and would help anyone in need however she could, even if it meant her going without. She loved animals and had an amazing sense of humor. She always put her child first and her selflessness was beyond reproach. She will live on in our hearts, minds, thoughts, prayers, and laughs forever.

In lieu of flowers please read to your kids, hold doors open for strangers, say please and thank you, have a chocolate bar, help animals, and be kind to others.

Services will be held on Friday, November 22nd with a gathering from 4-5:30 and a memorial service at 5:30 at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend.
