Collette D. Bouley

Collette D. Bouley, 92, of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025. She was born on November 13, 1932, in Nashua, NH, the beloved daughter of the late Claude Bouley and Alice (Delorme) Bouley.

Collette had four siblings—Roger Bouley, Richard Bouley and his wife Patricia, Andrea (Bouley) Findley and her husband Clyde, and Dale Bouley—all of whom preceded her in death.

She attended Nashua schools before starting her career as a secretary at J.F. McElwain. In her early 20s, after growing tired of New Hampshire winters and having many slips and falls, Collette made the bold decision to move to sunny Los Angeles, California. She began working in a steno pool and advanced to become a legal secretary.

Collette spent 25 years in California, embracing new experiences and friendships before returning to her hometown of Nashua in 1984, where she remained close to family and friends. Though she never married, she adored spending time with her many nieces and nephews—babysitting, playing games, and, of course, taking them shopping.

She later retired as a legal secretary from Winer & Bennett, but retirement didn’t slow her down—Collette continued working part-time at The Dollar Tree.

A lifelong animal lover, Collette shared her home with her cherished cat, Boots, and a series of beloved birds, all affectionately named Sparky. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—puzzling, playing bingo, reading, keeping up with current events on MSNBC, and, most importantly, spending time with those she loved.

Collette is survived by her niece, Diane (Findley) Ellis; her nephews, Robert Findley and his partner Yvonne Cherry, and Ronald Findley and his wife Lorna Findley. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and several great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish her memory.

Known for her sense of humor and deep love for family and friends, Collette left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Collette’s honor to Home, Health & Hospice Care, Merrimack, NH.
