Constance Eddy

Connie Eddy, a retired kindergarten teacher, of Concord, NH and longtime resident of Bow, NH passed away on July 28 at the age of 73 surrounded by loved ones.

Connie was born in Wolfeboro, NH on May 28, 1949 and attended Kingswood High School. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary College with a degree in English and later obtained multiple teaching certifications. On March 20, 1971, she married Wayne Eddy, a software architect with whom she raised 3 children.

A beloved member of multiple school districts including Bow Elementary and Hillsboro-Deering Elementary where she taught kindergarten and was a reading specialist for many years, she will be remembered by her co-workers and students alike for her dedication and selflessness.

Connie’s family meant everything to her. Her favorite pastimes were watching her grandchildren play, reading books snuggled up to them on the couch, and baking her famous Christmas cookies. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends and traveling to the seacoast. She was an avid reader and loved gardening her impatiens.

Connie is survived by her (2) children, Meghan (Chris) and Andrew (Emily); her (3) siblings, Richard (Susan), Stephen (Donna), and Sandra (Harry, predeceased); and her (5) grandchildren, Gabriella, Camden, Alexandra, August, and Julian. She is predeceased by her son Jason; and her parents Bert and Rose.

Connie brought joy into any room she entered (as long as she didn’t have to sit under a chandelier) and made an enormous impact on all those that knew her. She loved her friends, and always filled her home with warmth and love. All who loved her dearly will never forget her wit, charm, grace and undying love and caring for them.
