Constance L. (Stevenson) Foster, 1932 - 2022                               

 

Connie  Foster of Nashua, NH, died on May 2, 2022.   She was born in Westminster, MA, the daughter of the late Eva and Edgar Stevenson who moved to Westminster, MA in 1927 from Prince Edward Island, Canada.    

She attended the Westminster Schools, graduating from Fitchburg High School, and later Northeastern University.

After marrying Robert N. Foster of Lunenburg, MA in 1951, they resided in Fitchburg, MA for ten years where they were very active in serving the community such as helping with Red Cross Blood Drives, the Chamber of Commerce activities and Calvinistic Congregational Church programs.  In 1962, they moved to Richmond, Indiana for three years studying at Earlham School of Religion.  In 1966 they returned to MA and resumed a business career plus leading many Bible study groups and programs in the churches they attended.  

Before moving to Nashua, the family lived in Lexington, MA for 30 years where she and her husband owned and operated the Grant Cole Real Estate Office and The Patriot Appraisal Company. While in Lexington, Connie was very active in the Hancock United Church of Christ, The Women’s Republican Club, The Massachusetts Federation of Republican Women and was elected to be a member of the Massachusetts Republican State Committee. Connie was an avid gardener, and had taken up watercolor painting in her retirement years.  She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Connie is survived by three children, Marcia Keating and her husband Gerard, of Billerica, MA, Carol Bukys and her husband Albert of Woburn MA,  and Steven Foster and his wife, Jessie of Boston, MA.  She is also survived by son-in-law Joseph McGuane, husband of her deceased daughter, Brenda McGuane.  She also leaves seven grandchildren, Lisa Moore, Ryan McGuane, Kathrine Berjoan, James Foster, Michael Foster, Allison Bukys and Samantha Goodin Keating and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on July 26 at 10am at Hancock Church 1912 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The First Church of Nashua (1 Concord Street, Nashua NH 03064), Hancock Church in Lexington (1912 Massachusetts Ave,  Lexington MA 02421)  or the The Huntington Scholarship Fund (55 Kent Lane,  Nashua  NH  03062).

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH
