Corey James Benson

Corey James Benson, 62, of Manchester, NH passed away unexpectedly on February 5th, 2022. He was born on March 24th 1959 in Somerville, MA.

Corey was raised and spent most of his childhood in Arlington, MA where he attended Arlington High School in the class of 1977. After High School he worked as a youth counselor for several years, a position in which he was very talented and well-suited for. He would later work as a vendor for Melo-Tone after which he ventured in starting his own business, Name Your Game, where he refurbished arcade games and pool tables. He would finish his career as a manager for International Car Parts in Manchester, NH. Corey was a tremendously hard worker throughout his life and had many close colleagues and co-workers wherever he went.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Corey will remember a passionate, big-hearted and loving father and friend to many. Many considered him handsome. He always loved animals, as he owned many throughout his life, and he is assuredly playing fetch with J.D, Cajun Butkus, Keeva and Juno in heaven now. He also loved the freedom and joy of riding his Harley, as he always had one since the earliest day he could drive. Above all else, Corey loved his family. At age 13 he met the love of his life Marianne, who was at his side until the very end. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Corey is predeceased by his father Frank Tumblin Sr. and his mother Sandra Steeves. He is survived by his ex-wife Marianne Benson; son Tyler James Benson and his wife Laura; son Conor James Benson; daughter Leighann Benson; daughter Katrina Scarlett Kite and her wife Savanah; sister Leslie Dahan; sister Kimberly Smith; step-dad Aubrey Steeves; grandchildren Josh, Layne, Lillian, Charlotte & Willow; his Tumblin family which includes Kimberlee Fournier; Sheryll Tumblin; Tammy Tumblin; Franklin Tumblin Jr and Dereck Tumblin; as well as many nieces, nephews, loved family, friends and co-workers.

A celebration of Corey’s life will be held at a later date.
