Cortney Ann Pedro, 38, of Woodsville, NH passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, April 2, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 27th, 1982 in Providence, RI. Cortney graduated from Woodsville High School, Class of 2002, where she made many fond memories and lifelong friends.

Cortney was on the New Hampshire Special Olympic team for four years. She participated in skiing at Loon Mtn. through the Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country, in the Spring she competed in wheelchair races at UNH, in the Fall Cortney participated in bowling with a wooden ramp made by Jim Ingerson. She enjoyed every bit of it, especially participating with Shirley Ingerson and her friend Carmen. Cortney volunteered at Woodsville Elementary School for holiday events and Wells River Savings Bank, and participated in many Common Ground parties, dinners, and events with her beloved friends. She looked forward to and enjoyed the many summers camping with Shirley and Jim Ingerson.

Cortney is survived by her mother Pattie Grima of Franconia, NH, Father George Pedro of Myrtle Beach, SC, brother Jason Pedro of Seekonk, MA, nephew David and niece Emily. Sister McKenzie Santolucito and husband David, nieces Braylynn and Lorelai, nephew Sean, of Bethlehem, NH. Stepparents, Frank and Leslie Grima of Franconia, NH, Uncle Steven and Aunt Lynn Simmons, and Cousin Lyndsey Mitchell of Jacksonville, Florida. Aunt Burney Simmons and Uncle Bryan Joyce and Cousin Caitlin Simmons of Lincoln, RI. Cortney is also survived by her very special second family, Amy and Lee Baker of Woodsville, NH, and their children Natashia and Jared, Grandmother Nancy Boardman and pal, Robert Pushee, all of whom Cortney lived with for the past 17 years. Cortney had become a daughter, sister, and granddaughter to her very special second family.

Cortney's extended family and cherished caretakers: Amy Baker, Stephanie Alfaro, and Anita Boardman all of Woodsville, NH will always hold a special place in their hearts for her. Cortney's family and friends meant the absolute world to her and she meant the world to them.

Cortney is predeceased by her cherished grandparents Dorothy and Robert Legawiec, Uncle Wally Simmons, Aunt Sherrill Menard, Aunt Jean Madeiros, and many other angels welcoming her to heaven.
