Cynthia Louise Atwell

Cynthia “Cindi” Atwell, 73, of Barnstead, NH, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with dementia and cancer.

Born on December 12, 1951, in Danville, NH, Cindi lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for her family. She had a special fondness for horses, rescuing many from neglect, allowing them a second chance at life. She cherished time spent with her loved ones, found great joy in a good game of bingo. You could always find her outside enjoying her passion for gardening or in her recliner snuggled with her dog doing puzzles. Christmas was her favorite time of year; she couldn’t wait to make her home come alive with festive cheer and bring a smile to everyone’s face as they passed by.

Cindi is survived by her devoted children: Sherrie Greeley, Tia Greeley, Rolando Quintana, and Jessica Atwell. She also leaves behind her loving sister, Constance Hughes; several nieces and nephews; her treasured grandchildren: Bianca Pabon, Ashtin Greeley, Cheyenna Hanson, Dylan Crane, Haleigh Crane, Allyana Lowell, Cohen Leslie, Makenna Leslie, Cora Quintana, Jared Wheeler, and Zachery Wheeler; and great-grandchildren: Evren LaFleur, Aria Grant, Cadence Grant, Maverick Crane, Watson Christie, Emery Christie, and Aurora Paul, who brought light and laughter to her days.

Those who knew Cindi will remember her as a kind soul who always went out of her way to help others. Her warmth and selflessness touched many lives, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.

SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor her memory and the love she gave so freely.
