Cynthia was born March 19, 1943 to Rema and Lillian Diotte in Newport, NH. She was eldest sister to Brenda. She graduated from Towel High School and soon thereafter, married Thomas Ballou.
She lived in Croydon, NH raising three children Michelle, Roderick and Amy and operating the Coniston Store with Tom in the mid-seventies through the eighties.
Later, she attended the dental hygiene program at NHTI in Concord, NH. Upon receiving her associate degree, she assisted with then Klampert and Schramm, General Dentistry in WRJ, VT until retiring.
Cynthia loved tending to her home, her gardens, her pets but most of all her family. She loved spending time with her sister, her children, grandchildren and a few close friends. She was a private person, but she was always ready to share, be sociable, cheerful, optimistic, kind, and compassionate. She would always be ready to smile and laugh for you when you would visit.
After a life of giving herself to those she loved, her family was able to reciprocate some of what she gave to us selflessly all those years. Cynthia died peacefully in the home she loved while in the care of those she loved, Tuesday March 30, 2021.
A gathering in her memory will be held later in the summer.
