Cynthia Lee "Cindy" Gilbert

Cynthia “Cindy” Gilbert, 48, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. Born in Manchester on July 10, 1977, Cindy was the daughter of Lillian Gilbert and William Gilbert.

Cindy is survived by four daughters, Heather Hamel of Ohio, Taylor Spears, and twin daughters, Amber and Jamie Spears, all of Manchester, NH; her three grandsons, Sawyer and Mason Truedeau and Theo Martel, all of Manchester, NH; her mother and father, Lillian and William Gilbert of Manchester, NH; her best friend and companion, Don Perry of Manchester, NH; brother and sister, Matt Stone and Kelley Stone. She was looking forward to the birth of her granddaughter, Maddison, in April.

“What a long, strange trip it’s been” and “Smile, smile, smile” were her favorite quotes from her beloved band, Grateful Dead.

Cindy was talented and creative. She enjoyed going to concerts and hippy festivals. She worked for over 25 years as a bartender and could be found at the New Canton and The Happy Garden. Above all else, she cherished time spent around the people she loved. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by everyone that knew her.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, January 13th from 6PM-8PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend.
