Cynthia Rae (Stevens) White, 71, passed away on Wednesday November 12th 2025 after a long illness.
She was born on November 28, 1953, in Whitefield NH, the first child of Eleanor and Edward Stevens. She was married to her husband, Rodney Ray White, for 37 years.
She was a longtime resident of the Dalton area, graduating from White Mountains Regional High School in 1971. Cynthia completed cosmetology school and was a hairdresser for her entire career. Cynthia started her own business, Hair Care, which successfully served the community for many years. She then serviced customers from her home hair salon, For Your Hair Only.
Cynthia was a blessing to all around her. She enjoyed fellowship with friends and family and especially loved hosting people at her home. She enjoyed travelling, scuba diving, snowmobiling, and motorcycle riding along with her husband Rodney. Her most loved pastime, quilting, was a labor of love and a passion. Her many quilts have been gifted for generations of family and friends to enjoy.
Cynthia was a long time member of the Whitefield Advent Christian Church, where she served in many ways over the years. The most precious thing in life was her relationships with her family, friends, church parishioners and customers. People were most important to her, which was clear for all to see. She had an eye for faces and was commonly finding generational likeness in her loved ones. She was not often without her camera, and filled up dozens of photo albums with memories.
She is predeceased by her brother Edward Stevens. She is survived by her son Camden White, daughter-in-law Kelly White, four grandchildren: Lanee, Ali, Josie, Evan, siblings Cathy Dubreuil, Scott Stevens, and Cherie Ramsdell, as well as many extended family members.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday the 22nd, at 1pm at the Whitefield Christian Church. A brief graveside service will follow at the Park Street Cemetery, Whitefield. Following the service light refreshments will be provided in the church fellowship hall.
