“Rocky” D. K. Rockholt, 77, of Manchester died October 2, 2006 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack following a brief illness.

Rocky was born on January 11, 1929 in Charlotte, NC the son of C. G. Rockholt and Lucy (Mimms) Rockholt. He was a U S Army veteran who served during the Korean War. Following his military service, Rocky began a 22-year career with Hickox Motors. He was a mechanic specialist, working mostly with on foreign cars. He spent the next 15 years employed as a maintenance supervisor at the V A Hospital until retiring in the mid 1990’s. He was a loving husband and father who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Family members include; his wife of 50 years, Lorraine (Nalette) Rockholt; three sons, Donald Rockholt Jr. of Coco Beach, FL, James Rockholt of Hooksett and David Rockholt of Manchester; three daughters, Donna Tillotson of Palm Bay, FL, Linda Rockholt of Manchester and Nancy Pratt of Palm Bay, FL; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; one brother, Charles Rockholt of Gainesville, VA; and a sister, Grace Kehl of Charlotte, NC.

There will be a Memorial Mass on Friday, October 6th at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church with internment to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054 or to the VNA Home Hospice, 1850 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
