Dale M. Ritchey Jr., age 78, of Manchester, NH passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Elliot Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and five daughters. He was born November 16, 1942 in Lowell, MA the son of the late Dale, Sr. and Alice Ritchey. He is predeceased by George Ritchey, Ronald Ritchey, Jane Roberts, Ralph Ritchey and Wayne Ritchey.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Madeline T. Ritchey (Maggie) and his five daughters, Donna Bouchard and former son-in-law of 23 years Bob Bouchard both of Manchester, Lisa Marcotte and husband Ron of Salem, Maureen Alves and husband Mario of Peabody, MA, Marlene Gallant and husband Bobby of Nashua and Gail Byron and husband Rick of Dracut, MA. He also leaves behind, 10 Grandchildren (one on the way), 4 Great Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins, a brother-in-law Red Roberts, a sister-in-law Missy Ritchey, former sister-in-law Gail Ritchey and many dear friends.

Dale cherished and loved spending time with his family. He loved cookouts and holiday gatherings. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed "singing", camping, snowmobiling and being outdoors. He loved, Nascar racing, boxing, wrestling, fishing with his grandchildren, Shuffleboard, horseshoes and was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan! He also loved animals and adored all of his pets.

He was a tractor-trailer truck driver for several years, an auto body mechanic and a shipping supervisor for ten years at Interstate Container and during his retirement, he worked part time for Jake D's in Derry as a delivery driver and loved it!

He will be dearly missed.

There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Michael's Church, 543 Bridge St., Lowell, MA followed by committal in the Chapel at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA. At 12:30 PM, a 'Celebration of Life' luncheon will be held for family and close friends at Lenzi's, Merrimack Avenue, Dracut, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dale's name are encouraged to be sent to a charity of one's choice that supports animals.
