Dan Kolesar, 81, of Hooksett, NH, passed peacefully at home with family by his side on May 6, 2021. He was born on October 31, 1939, in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada, to the late Helen and Dan Kolesar. He was the middle child of three sons.
He began his journey into the working world as a CPA for Canadian Pacific Hotels, his favorite being Banff Springs Hotel and Chateau Lake Louise. After he met his wife Marian in Montreal he joined the Hilton Hotels. Later on the family made the move to the USA, where he worked with John Graham Associates subsequently moving on to the Beacon Hotel Company in Boston, specializing in purchasing for the hospitality industry, ultimately forming his own company in Manchester, NH.
Dan made lifelong friends wherever he went, in school, work and travels around the world. He left a warm and loving impression on everyone he met. He was a mentor to many, a loyal friend generous with his time and love. He was so proud of his family of all their achievements.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marian, his son Greg, his grandchildren, Max and Danika,
brother John (Robin), his mother-in-law Judy, sister-in-law Evelyn Oberlander (Dan), and special niece, Rosemary, 3 nieces, a nephew, 6 grandnieces and a grandnephew.
There are no calling hours per his request. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
