The Reverend Daniel Robert Strong, 77, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock

Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was the son of William M. Strong and Roberta B. Strong He was the husband of the Reverend Nancy Baillie Strong. They were married on November 14, 1981, in New York City, NY. Daniel attended Yonkers (NY) Public Schools, and served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1973. After military service, he attended Western Connecticut State College, and The General Theological Seminary in New York City. He was ordained as an Episcopal Priest in 1983, and served parishes in the Dioceses of New York and Western Massachusetts, as well as a 10-year weekly chaplaincy at the Orange County (NY) Home and Infirmary. In 2018, he moved to Manchester, NH.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, and his brother Roger Strong. He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughters Katharine Maguire and her husband (Michael), Anna Strong, and his son David Strong, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lydia Strong. He is also survived by six brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, and their spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his family, his work as a parish priest, reading, crossword puzzles, penguins, puns, and British mysteries.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 1:30 pm, at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, 21 Centre Street, Concord, NH, the Right Reverend Robert Hirschfeld officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Paul’s Church Memorial Garden. Family and friends are invited to attend.
