Darryl Elliott Purcell, 55, of Northfield NH, passed on April 27, 2026, in Concord NH.
Born on November 6, 1970, in Providence RI, Darryl was the son of Charles Purcell and Barbara Magda. He was a brother to Sharon Purcell, Paul Purcell, Charles Purcell, Cindy Mathers, Barbara Barrett, and Stephan Purcell.
Darryl made his home in Northfield with his wife, Shannon (Sudsbury) Purcell, where together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.
He was a proud father to Tylor Purcell, Dylan Purcell, Ryan Purcell, Brayden Purcell, and Kalysie Purcell, and a loving stepfather to Eric Sudsbury-Skinner and Lee Crocker. He was also a grandfather to Arya Purcell and Brynn Purcell.
Darryl proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Professionally, he worked as a supervisor for Amwell, where he was respected for his dedication and leadership. He was also a master carpenter, gifted with his hands and known for his craftsmanship.
Darryl was loved by many and had a remarkable way of bringing people together. He was known for his sense of humor, his dad jokes, and his ability to make people laugh. He enjoyed playing darts, billiards, karaoke, and, most of all, spending time with those he loved.
He especially treasured time with his nieces and nephews: Stephanie Hendel Harper, Kyle Harper, Jennifer Hendel, Michael Camacho, Deckland Knee, Courtney Alden, Angel Pedra, Enrique Ayala, Unique Gethers, Anthony Pedra, Thomas Pedra, Dakota Alden, Maurice Tweedie, Madisyn Camacho, Ashtyn Camacho, Brady Murphy, and Brianna Murphy.
Darryl’s warmth, laughter, and presence touched countless lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A service honoring Darryl’s life will be held at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery on June 19th at 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at his residence in Northfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests potted house plants. Donations can be made to Darryl’s American Legion Post 49 at PO Box 3003, Tilton NH 03276-3003.
