David "Buddy" Raymond Sheldon, Sr.

David “Buddy” Raymond Sheldon Sr., a life-long resident of Swanzey, New Hampshire passed away at the age of 70, after a long battle with illness on April 23, 2024.  David was surrounded by family in the home of his very close friend Dorren Rosimos.  David was the father of Shawn Sheldon, David Sheldon, Crystal Sheldon, and the late Lindsey Sheldon; the grandfather of Caleb, Shawnna, Gabriel, Ethan, Mackenzie, Aden, Jovani, Trevor, Isabella, and Jayla. He was the brother of Penny Bosley, Ann LaBrie, and the late Cindy Watson.

David was born in Farmington, Maine on February 1, 1954, to the late Guy and Bernice (Godsey) Sheldon. He was raised in Swanzey. 

David enjoyed the mechanical trades, serving the community through his auto body work and irrigation business. His passion for clocks, lead him to open Sheldon’s Clocks as a hobby in 2002.  Buddy’s favorite past time was riding and maintaining Harley Davidsons. 

A graveside service for friends and family will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1 Railroad St., Swanzey, NH on Saturday, June 29th, at 11:00 am, followed by a picnic to celebrate his life at the Cheshire Fair Grounds, 247 Monadnock Hwy., Swanzey, NH.
