David W. Coar

David W. Coar, 82, of Lowell, MA, passed away surrounded by his family at Lowell General Hospital on February 26, 2018. Born on January 20, 1936 in Paterson, NJ, he was son of the late William and Sylvia (Parker) Coar. He enjoyed 47 years of marriage with his wife, Donna (Foster) Coar.

David graduated from Pompton Lakes High School. He proudly served his country as a Marine during the Korean War. He enjoyed his career as a precision optician, making precision lenses for satellites and Government contracts.

David loved fishing of all kinds and chose to live most of his life on or near the water. He loved his pets, baseball and vegetable and herb gardening.

Surviving family members include his wife Donna, step-son Randy Rohr, step-daughter Linda S Reade, her husband Timothy and their children Austin and Katrina Reade, Alexandra Reade and her companion Rory Nesman and Dakota and Ashley Reade, and step-son Robert "Perch" Rohr, his wife Christine and their children Tyler Rohr and Heather Rohr.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
