David L. Coldwell, 73, of Tyngsboro, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2020 at his home. He was the long-time companion of his beloved and best friend, Ramona Jordan. They shared twenty-five years together and loved to travel. They especially liked the Caribbean and trips to Aruba, Jamaica and Hawaii.
He was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on February 5, 1947 and was the son of the late Lothrup and Josephine (McElhinny) Coldwell. He attended Woburn High School. David proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force until he was honorably discharged. While he was enlisted, he spent time in Vietnam and was stationed 90 miles south of Saigon, Mekong Delta. He worked mostly on C130's and C123's delivering food, ammo and clothing to other bases.
David was employed at NEC Computers and was the company's first full-time hire in the Maintenance Department. After five years he left and started his own company. He was a General Contractor and did meticulous work hanging wallpaper and painting interiors and exteriors of houses.
David liked spending time outdoors skiing, camping, boating and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and going out to eat. David was proud that he had gathered the Coldwell family for several annual family reunions through the years. A good time was had by all playing backyard games and barbecuing. He also organized annual "brother's weekend" camping with his brothers.
He is survived by his two devoted daughters, Denise Morelli and her husband, Toby and Deborah Graci; five grandchildren, Matthew, Evan and Sophia Morelli and Ryan and Erin Graci; three siblings, Janis Murphy and her husband, Hugh, Dennis Coldwell and his wife, Marilyn and James Coldwell. He leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother, Stephen Coldwell.
He loved life, had faith, counted his blessings and had daily gratitude. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
