David Forman

David Norton Forman died peacefully on Sunday, March 27 in Durham, New Hampshire surrounded by loved ones. David was well regarded and respected by all who met him. He was an outstanding husband, a wonderful father, and a beloved grandfather. He was a very active member of the AMC and hiked every 4,000 foot mountain in New England. He had a terrific sense of humor and never rally lost his taste for fun and mischief.

David had a remarkable work life. He attended high school in Manchester, New Hampshire, then went on to graduate from Tufts University with a Bachelor’s degree and then Yale University with a Master’s degree in industrial engineering. A very smart man and lifelong learner, he never stopped reading and taking classes. He reinvented himself several times as a barrel manufacturer, a real estate developer, a business consultant and corporate board member. One huge accomplishment of his was being voted New Hampshire Small Businessman of the Year and being given the award by President Gerald Ford. His honest and integrity were without question.

David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marianne; his son, Jeffrey and daughter in law Angela; his grandchildren, Madigan, Kosrin, Finn, Fox, and Quinnlan, in addition to family on both coasts. He will be missed by lifelong friends and business associates who are feeling his loss deeply. David was predeceased by his son, Michael, who passed away in 2020.
