David J. Girard

David ‘Vid-Co’ Girard passed away in his sleep on Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was 61 years old.

David was born on August 1, 1960, at Hale Hospital in Haverhill, MA. He grew up in Plaistow, NH, was an active member of Haverhill’s Boy Scout Troop 23 and graduated in 1978 from Timberlane High School.
Before settling down, David spent time traveling the East Coast working a host of jobs. Two that he spoke most fondly of include steel working and welding out of Norfolk, VA and working for a cotton mill in Alabama. Upon his return, he met and married his wife Debby, and settled down in Milford, NH where he spent the past 34 years raising his family. David was an autobody technician at Medlyn Motors for many of those years. There was no job that was too big or too small for David and he was affectionately thought of as a MacGyver that could fix or build anything.
Among his many DIY hobbies, David was a proud life member of the VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He was a kind and generous person who would do anything for anybody in need.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 36 years, Debra Girard, and their two sons David ‘DJ’ Girard and Nicholas Girard, as well as his Son-In-Law Nate Zinck. He is survived by his mother ‘Honey’ Girard, brother Chris Girard, and two sisters Linda Stutts and Matina Brown, four nieces, one nephew, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. David is predeceased by his father Joseph ‘Bud’ Girard, as well as his brother Deno Girard.
At Vid’s request, there will be no services. Immediate family members will hold a private celebration of life. People wishing to honor David may make a financial contribution to any charity of their choosing.
