David Stuart Gould died peacefully at the age of 91, on Oct 9, 2018 after a brief illness.
Born June 26, 1927 in Haverhill, MA, the son of Ralph O. Gould and Dorothy Hale Gould, he grew up in Topsfield and Haverhill MA. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. David married Brenda Thompson and attended U Mass Amherst, then joining his father-in-law's home building business that became Thompson and Gould, Builders. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners and Rotary Club.
The family moved to Kingston, NH in 1958, where he resided and raised his family for 30 years.
David was a true craftsman and enjoyed all outdoor activities: hunting, fishing. snowmobiling, boating, and skiing. Recently he was honored to participate in the Honor Flight to Washington, DC.
David was predeceased by former wife, Brenda and by a son, Geoffrey P. Gould.
He is survived by his sister Virginia Judd of Concord, NH, son Scott Gould (Carol) of Bethel, ME, daughters Pamela Currier of Lee, Sallyanne Blanchette (Thomas), of Farmington and Alison Rich, (partner Sean Barry) of Derry, all in NH. He was also blessed with 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and leaves nieces and nephews and their children as well as a dear friend at Birch Heights in Derry, Marty Gelb.
Private services were held at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Topsfield, MA
