David W. Houston

Listen to Obituary

David William Houston of Lee, NH, passed away peacefully on October 11th with his wife by his side. David was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in Marietta, Georgia and later attended Georgia Tech, majoring in mechanical engineering, and went on to pursue two master’s degrees, one in project management and one in business administration.

David worked as a Project Manager for ICC Commonwealth and directed their New England Division. He was a dedicated employee who took great pride and diligence in his professional endeavors.

On a personal level, David took the most pride in his three children, Caleb, Lorelei, and Delaney. David was a wonderful, fun-loving, and devoted father. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, maintaining his meticulous lawn, cooking extravagant meals, and camping in the White Mountains. David was an avid hiker, often sleeping in his car at trailheads to get an early start. He once did the entire presidential traverse by himself on a whim. He was also a great swimmer and enjoyed lap swimming among other types of exercise. He had a heart for adventure.

David is survived by his wife Deirdre Houston; parents, Dawn and William Houston; his children, Caleb, Lorelei and Delaney Houston; brother Chris (Sarah) Houston; sister Theresa (Michael) Denlinger; grandmother, Sandi Nelson;  nieces, Willow, Magnolia, Natalie and Sage; Nephew, Simms; in-laws, Howard and Martha Patten; brother-in-law, Brett (Megan) Patten; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Celebrations of Life are being planned in both New Hampshire and Georgia.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Hampton. To view David's Online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com.
