David C. Ladd, 74, of Weare, NH, passed away from complications after a long illness on October 8, 2023.
One of four children born to the late Robert and Jean Ladd, born on January 20, 1949, David grew up in the town of Bow, NH until the age of 19 when he enlisted in the Navy-USN, serving on the USS Glover (AGDE-1).
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseshoes, watching western movies, walking his beloved dog Lily until her passing, and then his companion for the last 1 ½ years his dog Baby. David was very proud of his flower gardens; he worked tirelessly in his yard to make it look exactly how he wanted it.
His family and friends will remember his love of riding his Harley-Davidson and the many adventures with his close circle of friends. We know that he'll be enjoying riding the skyways of heaven.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Bonnie Ladd, his son, Dustin Ladd, siblings and their spouses, Robert Ladd Jr, Vicki and Eddie Jensen, and Bonnie and Peter Nieves; his grandchildren, Emma Parents and Davien Wooten; nieces, Skye and Sierra Nieves; nephews and their spouses, Cean and Raine Jensen and Steven and Amber Jensen; great nieces, Jasmine Jensen, Sydney Jensen, and Hannah Jensen; Aunt Alberta Sweeney and his puppy, Baby, as well as too many family and friends to mention.
He also leaves his bonus "son," Dave Paquette, who always lent a helping hand when David needed him and his bonus "daughter," Monique Wooten, who was there at a drop of a hat for him.
Services will be held at the Boscawen New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH on October 30, 2023 at 2pm. Reception following at Bow Mills United Methodist Church located at 505 South Street, Bow, NH.
