David E Macdonald

David E Macdonald, formally of Bedford, MA, died peacefully Wednesday, April 12th, 2017, at his home in Gilford, NH, at the age of 77. Born in Melrose in 1939, he was the son of Earl and Ernestine Macdonald of Lynnfield, MA.

He attended Melrose High and Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine, and resided in Bedford for most of his life with his family where he ran his business, Scotsman Contracting. He retired several years ago, up in the mountains in Gilford, NH.

He is survived by his partner, Donna Lawler, his children, Jeff Macdonald, Sandy Herman and her husband, David; his Ex wife Linda Macdonald, along with 5 grandchildren, his sister Miriam Brown, 2 nephews, Marc & Scott Brown and niece, Jennifer Griffin and their children.

Private graveside services for friends and family will be held May 4th at 11am at Forest Hills Cemetery, Lynnfield, MA.
