David Lawrence Maura

David L. Maura, 65, of Pittsfield, passed away on November 8, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on October 18, 1959, David lived a life defined by kindness, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

 David was the cherished husband of Beverly "Dianne" Martel. Together, they built a life of love and partnership, celebrating 40 beautiful years of marriage. Their love was the foundation of their family, which includes three children and three treasured grandchildren who brought immense joy and pride to David’s life.

 Professionally, David found his calling at Community Bridges, where he worked for five years. Known as a dedicated and compassionate employee, David went above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of the young men he supported. He selflessly gave up his own Christmas and Thanksgiving time to ensure these individuals could connect with families during the holidays, understanding how critical this connection was to their care and well-being. David’s actions exemplified his deep sense of empathy and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on his coworkers and those he served.

 David’s legacy is one of love, selflessness, and an enduring commitment to making the world a better place. He will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
