David R. Meader, 84, of Back River Road Dover, NH and of Day Lilly Lane Rochester, NH, died February 18, 2009 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Dover, NH on July 29, 1924, a son of Herbert E. and Alta (Vickery) Meader.
Mr. Meader attended the Dover public schools. David served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He sailed aboard the USS Neville (APA9). He was owner/operator of Meaderâs Flower Shop (a family business) before his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Paul and Steven Meader; two sisters, Annie Pearson and Pauline Knolton, and his brother, John Meader.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Linda S. Albert; two daughters, Eliose Karabelas and her husband, Jerry of Portsmouth, NH, Princeton, NJ, Boston, MA, and Arlesheim, Switzerland; and Diana Meader of Portsmouth, NH; one son, Richard Meader of Massachusetts, seven grandchildren and one great grandson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Say a prayer for David and tell him Bon Voyage.
