David went to elementary school in Nashua NH then moved to Merrimack NH. A very hands-on mechanical guy by inclination, he went on to college at NH Technical College in Manchester NH and became a welder. He worked at Ingersoll Rand in Nashua NH, General Electric in Hooksett NH, and had his own welding business in Boscawen NH, where he lived with his wife and children through their childhood and college years.
He was one of the most hard working meticulous people when it came to everything he did, he wanted it done well and done right says his brothers in unison. He was sensitive and caring for animals and had many animals on their family property in Boscawen. He instilled a love of animals and nature in his children and brothers who all seemed to take on some form of animal raising after the first pig "Harold" given from a local farmer in 1990 and had surprised piglets a few weeks later. He brought a hen and a dozen eggs home from GE for his daughter Elizabeth, and a cat, FiFi , home who wandered onto his welding truck while doing a job for Matthew's Equipment in Boscawen. Later, his wife Laura raised a flock of turkeys there, all related to his guiding force in caring for animals. He loved his dogs Lucas, Zac,Victor, Mason and Maxwell and found much joy spending time with them.
He spent many hours working on projects on his home with his wife in Boscawen NH and later in Bridgewater NH, which was something he was very proud of, including a wooden bear sculpture that greets every motorist that drives by the home.
He is remembered by many as an ice fisherman, with his checkerboard wool pants and Elmer Fudd hat, an avid deer hunter hunting with his brothers and son, and snowmobiler, who enjoyed exploring the outdoors with his wife Laura. A teacher, for many things, from skipping stones to giving life advice and a well-respected friend to many. David had his 59th birthday on April 4, after a successful surgery to remove his stomach cancer. Early on May 16th, after unexpected complications with chemotherapy, he passed away surrounded by his loving family.
