David W. Noseworthy, 66 of Wolfeboro passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at his home in Wolfeboro, NH.
David was born in Dover, Delaware on January 23, 1958 to Ernest and Shirley Noseworthy joining his sister Paula. He attended Northgate Grammar School in England from 1964-1972 where he discovered a love of the English language. He graduated from Saugus High School in 1976.
After working several years in Saugus, David moved to Maine to begin a long career in the mobile equipment and hydraulics industry. He was held in high regard by both his colleagues and customers for his ability to understand the challenges and offer practical solutions earning the nick name, “the answer man.”
In 2011 he met Kathleen, and they were married in 2019. Together they built a life of love and laughter while traveling to new places and making friends along the way. He often joked that they made it through each day, “without incident”.
David’s quirky sense of humor brought many laughs to his family, friends, and of course, himself. He had a laugh that was truly his own.
David’s greatest joy was spending time with family that included three grandsons. David attended Andover College and earned a degree in business. He could often be found on the golf course or donating his time with the Lion’s Club helping others. David delighted in making someone’s life just a little bit better through acts of kindness. He enjoyed good conversation and loved exploring the boundaries of vocabulary and a well-timed joke.
David is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Wolfeboro, NH, Matthew Engel, Nora, Riley and William of Woodland Park, CO., Michael Engel, Kirsten, and Wells of South Boston, MA, mother, Shirley Ann Noseworthy of Hollis, ME, and sister Paula Gardiner and David of Ipswich, England. He was predeceased by his father Ernest B. Noseworthy.
The family will be holding a private gathering to celebrate David.
We would like to send our heartfelt appreciation for the kindness and compassion that David received from the caregivers of the Lakes Region VNA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David’s memory to Lakes Region VNA, 186 Waukewan St., Meredith, NH 03253 or the ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd., Suite # 600, Arlington, VA 22209
