Davida J Barnes, age 84, fell asleep in death on March 25, 2015. Born to Raymond and Alice (Cragin) Flanders on May 23, 1930. Davida was a single mom to 8 Children: Marilee Moran, Sharyn Stearns (David), Leanne Page, Kimberly Barnes, Roderic Barnes (Denise), Elizabeth Colston (Chip), Jeffrey Barnes (Laura), Christina Parker (Ronny)
Davida leaves behind all these and 17 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren, brother, Ron
Flanders (Jan), sisters, Louise Flanders-Clarke, and Elaine Flanders. She was predeceased by her
brother Kenneth Flanders.
Her other great love was education and her faith. Davida went back to school at the age of 42, receiving degrees the highest being her Masters in Social Services. Retired at the age of 66 and becoming bored she obtained a Real Estate License, in 2008 as the market died down, she then obtained a paralegal certificate graduating with honors at age 79. She worked for Barbara Hahn, attorney at law, who also became her close friend and mentor.
Davida was one of Jehovahs Witnesses, for over 58 years, Davida was a true testament to her faith even preaching to the last moments of her life.
A memorial for Davida will be held at: Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses
