IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dawna D.
Antonivich
February 8, 1956 – March 7, 2026
Dawna Day Antonivich, formerly of Charlestown and Claremont, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully under the wonderful and attentive care of the staff at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland, New Hampshire, after a long illness.
Dawna was the adoptive daughter of Verna and Parker K Day of Claremont, New Hampshire, and was also the daughter of Victor and Virginia Cipriano of Portland, Maine.
She was a proud 1974 graduate of Stevens High School in Claremont.
Dawna had a zest for life and a spirit of adventure that led her to explore many unique passions. She was an accomplished broadcast professional throughout the 1980s and 1990s and also served her community as both a police dispatcher and EMT for the town of Charlestown. Broadcasting was one of Dawna’s true passions, and her warmth, quick wit, and love of music made her a natural behind the microphone. She took great pride in her broadcasting career and cherished the opportunity to interview several country music stars, including The Judds, The Oak Ridge Boys, Billy Ray Cyrus, and others.
In 1975, Dawna married her first love, Mitchell Antonivich. She dedicated much of her early life to being a wife and mother, raising her two sons and encouraging them to pursue their passions, especially through music. Dawna herself had a lifelong love of music and maintained an extensive vinyl record collection that she began building as a teenager.
Dawna is survived by her husband, Mitchell Antonivich of Charlestown; her son, Scott Antonivich of Sarasota, Florida; her brother, Steven Day Sr. of Unity, New Hampshire; and her siblings Paula Cipriano, Patricia Cipriano, and Victor Cipriano Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicole Antonivich, Tryston Antonivich, and Parker Antonivich, all of whom she was very proud, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Brian Antonivich, who passed away at the age of 34 on November 15, 2013, following a battle with stomach cancer.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dawna’s lifelong friends of more than 60 years, Raelene Wilson and Robbin Hood of Claremont, New Hampshire, for their constant love, friendship, and support throughout her life.
Dawna will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love of music, her deep devotion to her family, and the occasional “colorful” joke.
