Denis Compagna

Denis James Compagna, age 69, of Manchester, NH, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2021. Denis was born in Manchester, NH on March 20, 1952. He was the son of Raoul "Ralph" and Yvette "Vicki" Compagna.

Denis attended St. Anthony Grammar School and graduated from Memorial High School in 1970. After attending the University of New Hampshire, Denis worked for the city of Manchester in a variety of roles, finishing his career in the engineering department. He retired following a successful career that spanned over 35 years.

Denis had many passions. He loved spending time with his family and could often be found playing a rousing game of Cribbage. He very much enjoyed playing golf and watching all of the Boston sports teams. Denis was known amongst his family and friends for his random acts of kindness. He never missed a birthday, holiday or opportunity to extend a kind greeting. Throughout his life he regularly donated blood through the American Red Cross, ultimately giving 129 units (16 gal.) of this precious life source. This was an important part of who Denis was and is a perfect example of the care and generosity which he exhibited every day.

Denis is predeceased by his father, Raoul Compagna and brother, Richard Compagna. He is survived by his daughter, Katrina Compagna of Nashua, NH; mother, Yvette Compagna of Hooksett, NH; his sisters, Donna Compagna of Derry, NH and Sheryl Hause of Hooksett, NH; brothers, Gary Compagna of Midway, UT and Kevin Compagna of Canton, MA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, NH on Saturday, April 10th, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Denis's name to the American Heart Association or to the American Red Cross.
