Hollis, NH--Denise Elise Fahey, age 68, of Hollis, NH died of lung cancer on January 8, 2015 after a very short illness.
Denise was born on October 29th, 1946 in Nashua, NH and was the daughter of the late Roland and Andrea (Theriault) Poirier.
Denise was married twice, first to David Fahey from 1964 – 1974 and then married to Frank Hanley in the late 1970s. Denise's marriage to David Fahey produced her two children. In 1964, her first daughter, Deann, was born. In 1967, she gave birth to her second daughter, Dorie.
After many years of being a homemaker, Denise started working outside the home. She spent most of her work life mainly in sales, most recently at Comcast, PC Connection and prior to that at Lechmere.
Denise's greatest love was her two daughters whom she is survived by, Deann Fahey of Nashua, NH, and Dorie Fahey Grizzard, of Hollis, NH. In addition to her parents, Denise was predeceased by her older brother Ronald Langlois.
Denise was blessed with having wonderful friends namely Joan Green, Deidre Junkie and Nancy Hegarty. Both of Denise's daughters are very grateful for the love these women showed their mother during the many years of friendship and especially in the last months of their mother's life.
Deann and Dorie are also grateful for the respectful and dignified care their mother received at Home Health & Hospice in Merrimack, NH where she spent the last days of her life.
Denise's daughters will always remember their mother as the only person who could make everything okay.
A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Church at 777 West Hollis Street in Nashua. A reception will be held immediately after church service at 62 White Pine Drive in Hollis, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Denise Fahey Memorial Fund at Giveforward.com
