Dennis Von Feldt, 84, of Dover, New Hampshire, passed away at home on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

He was born the ninth of ten children to Celestine and August Von Feldt in Gorham, Kansas. He carried fond memories of his childhood close to his heart and loved to share stories about growing up and experiences shared with his siblings.

After graduating from high school, Dennis enlisted in the Army. He spent his tour stationed in Germany. He made the most of his time in Europe and traveled extensively.

Upon returning home, he enrolled in the political science program at Fort Hays State University, earning a Bachelor of Science. After college, he moved to the Kansas City area and began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He worked his way into senior level sales management and retired in 2000.

In retirement, Dennis moved to New Hampshire with his wife to be close to his daughter and two grandchildren. He was always ready to help with the never-ending projects at his daughter’s old farmhouse. Together, they built, repaired, and improved what had been an abandoned shell of a house into a cozy home.

Dennis treasured spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to amuse them with tales from his life and discuss all manner of topics from sports to current events. Mostly, he just loved hearing about what was going on in their lives and being a part of it.

Dennis enjoyed traveling with his wife both domestically and internationally. They spent winters in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina with a group of retirees, forming treasured friendships. He enjoyed playing golf in South Carolina and as a member of the senior golf circuit at The Oaks Golf Course in New Hampshire.

Dennis is preceeded in death by his parents and eight siblings. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, his daughter, two grandchildren, his brother, and dozens of nieces and nephews. Interment will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans’ Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire. A celebration of life will be private.
