Derek Alan Bates, 39, died 1/28/21 in Manchester, NH due to a brief illness.
He was born 12/30/1981 to Lynne Marie Bates and was raised by his loving grandparents Richard Alan Bates & Sandra H Bates whom he came to call his parents.
Derek grew up surrounded by friends & family & was deeply loved by all who knew him. His gift was bringing laughter into any situation. He had a million dollar smile that could be seen across the room. He was a man that loved a color coordinated room, an organized kitchen and high tech gadgets. He had a huge heart that he wore on his sleeve, and spent the last few months of his life fixing and enriching his relationships with the ones he loved most.
We will never forget the little things about Derek that made him a special part of each of our hearts.
Derek leaves behind two beloved daughters, Alexia & Brianna & their mother, Kelly. He grew up with his brother & sister, Tara & Craig, & his cousins Courtney & Alicia who were like sisters to him. He has 3 Aunts, Dede, Paula & Patty, 4 Uncles, Kenny, Kevin, Danny & Rick, cousins Amanda & Emily and numerous nieces & nephews.
A service in Derek's memory will be held in May of 2021.
