Diana Coates, 72, of Wakefield, NH, passed away on March 23, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband Benjamin Coates, Jr., and her son Shawn.

Diana was born in Claremont, NH, the daughter of Roland and Georgette Benjamin, and moved to North Reading, MA when she was a young child. She then moved to Wakefield, NH in 1981 where she resided until she passed.

Diana worked at Highwatch/Lakeview Neuro Rehab and then Green Mountain Treatment Center for over 25 years. Her last job was working at Dunkin Donuts in Ossippee, NH where they all loved her and called her Nana.

Diana enjoyed taking trips to the ocean, going yardsaling and shopping at Mardens. She also loved spending time with her family, friends and her two dogs, Wickit and Cujo.

Diana is survived by her sister Fleurette Simms, brother Roland (Frenchie) Benjamin, sons Benjamin Coates III, Dennis Coates and his wife Paula. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

We would also like to thank her niece Leslie Coates and our friends Kristal Noble and Laurie Eldridge for all of their help and support while she was home with us.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 7th at 1:00pm at 412 Leighton Corner Rd, Wakefield, NH 03872.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to Compassus Hospice, 1 Hampton Rd, Exeter, NH 03833.
