Diana Mannisto passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on August 16, 2018 after a three-year battle with cancer.
She was born June 16, 1964 in Rhode Island to the late Loretta Stafford and Desmond Oakes. After graduating high school in Maine, Diana went on to Regis College in Massachusetts, where she graduated with a BS in Business Management. Nashua, NH was her home for the last 30 years. Although Diana held many jobs, she worked for CVS Pharmacy for the past two decades.
Diana was a lover of books. She enjoyed reading and writing. In the last few years, she was able to complete four unpublished novels. She loved creating a character to tell their story. Her children hope to have them published soon. Some of Diana's other interests included traveling, sewing, knitting, herb gardening, and wine tasting.
Diana touched many lives and left behind countless friends. She was always finding ways to help others in need. She was a selfless and giving sister, wife, and mother. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her brother, Desmond Oakes and wife Patricia; sister, Dorie Oakes; loving husband, Jari Mannisto; daughter, Jennifer Ledoux and husband Kevin; daughter, Erin; son, Gregory; and their father, Stephen Kent.
At Diana's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, Merrimack NH at www.hhhc.org.
