Diana B. Walker

Diana B. (Materazzo) Walker, 68, of 102 Longfellow Drive, Bethlehem, died on November 8, 2005 at the Lafayette Center in Franconia. Born in Middletown, CT on June 27, 1937, she was the daughter of Joseph and Pauline Materazzo and had lived most of her life in CT before moving to New Hampshire in 2002. She had worked in the banking industry, most recently as the manager of Wallingford Municipal Federal Credit Union in CT where she was employed for twelve year until her retirement 3 years ago. She was an avid golfer and belonged to the Bethlehem Country Club where she played five days a week. She also enjoyed hiking, snowshoeing and spending time with her family. Family members include her husband of 15 years, Charles Walker; four sons, Rick Backstrom, Dean Backstrom Mark Backstrom and Scot Backstrom, all of CT; three step daughters, Kim Christodoulou of TN, Kari Day and Wendy Walker both of CT; nine grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Materazzo of CT; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial service will be held at the Littleton Congregational Church on November 19th at 11:00 AM. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
