Diane B. Plante, of Hill, New Hampshire, formerly of Candia, New Hampshire, passed away on October 26, 2026, leaving behind a loving family and many cherished memories.

A graduate of Raymond High School, Diane worked at PPG when her children were young and later spent eight years working at New Hampshire Oncology. She eventually retired in Florida, where she and her beloved [husband, Lawrence “Joe” Plante, enjoyed winters in Florida and summers in New Hampshire after his retirement. They spent time in Sebring, Florida, where they made many friends and shared special memories.

Family was an important part of Diane’s life. She especially treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She found joy in gardening, quilting, knitting, and crocheting. One of her special traditions was making quilts for each of her grandchildren, creating keepsakes that will be treasured for years to come.

Diane also had a few favorite pastimes that brought her plenty of enjoyment. She religiously played the lottery, always hoping for the chance to spread the wealth. While living in Florida, she was involved with the VFW, helping run bingo and enjoying playing the game herself.

Throughout her life, Diane enjoyed traveling, including trips to Scotland, Norfolk Virginia, and San Diego, where she visited Joe while he was working at military submarine bases.

Those who knew Diane knew she was a woman who spoke her mind. You always knew where you stood with her, and she wasn’t one to mince words. Her favorite saying, “Put your big girl pants on,” reflected her straightforward approach to life and will surely bring a smile to those who remember her.

Diane leaves behind her two sons, Michael and his wife, Jeanne, of Plaistow, New Hampshire, and Steven and his wife, Vickie, of Hill, New Hampshire.

She also leaves her eight grandchildren, Amanda, Rob, Caitlin, Heather, Megan, Jonathan, Zachary, and Nicholas, along with her twelve great-grandchildren, who brought her much happiness.

She is survived by her brother, Warren Beane and his wife, Chrystal, of Candia, New Hampshire; her sisters, Donna Kelley of Virginia and Kelley Beane and her partner, Brian Fisher, of Manchester, New Hampshire; and her brothers-in-law, Frederick Plante of Raymond, New Hampshire, and Thomas Brown of Orange, New Hampshire. She also leaves several cousins and nephews.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, Lawrence “Joe” Plante, Diane was predeceased by her niece, Carla Beane; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Plante and Margaret Brown; and her brother-in-law, Bernard Hoyt.

Diane will be remembered for her love of family, her many handmade treasures, her enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures, and her unmistakable personality. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry her love and spirit forward.

Diane will be laid to rest beside Joe at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire. Further details regarding the service will be announced at a later date.
