It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Diane B. Brackett after a short illness, surrounded by family.
Born Diane Beaumont in Quincy, Massachusetts to Irene G. Thornhill Beaumont and Harold Bradley Beaumont, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Donald C. Brackett, her sister Joan Long, and her brother, John Bradley Beaumont. Diane is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Gauci, Linda St. Onge, and Robin Standen, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Diane was a cancer survivor, worked for many years at Jordan Marsh and Macy’s, and was an active member of her church, where she taught Sunday school, served as an usher, and participated in the senior citizens group.
Diane and her husband Don were longtime members of the Queen City Promenaders square dancing club, where they served on the board, helped organize events, with Diane frequently making their dance outfits.
Diane had a talent for design and creativity, and she enjoyed travel - first by RV across the country and internationally with her husband, and later by cruising with friends. Her extended family and friends brought her considerable joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH on Friday, July 17, 2026. Family and friends may gather beginning at 10:00am, with the service commencing at 11:00am.
