Diane D. Minnis

Diane D. Minnis, 59, of Bedford died February 5, 2003 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA following a brief illness. Mrs. Minnis was born on February 5, 1944 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of John and Evelyn Derby. She was a graduate of the University of Maine and Rivier College Graduate School. She was a guidance counselor at Griffin Memorial School in Litchfield for the past 14 years. Diane was a loving wife and mother and touched the lives of many of the children she worked with. Family members include; her husband of 34 years, William Minnis; two daughters, Andrea Minnis and Sarah Minnis both of Bedford; her parents, John and Evelyn Derby of Goffstown; one brother, Richard Derby of Essex, MA; one sister, Andrea Myette of Groton, MA; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Reception will be held on Saturday, February 15th from 11:00 until 12:00 PM with a Memorial Service at Noon at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire Chapel, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Myeloproliferative Disease Research Fund in memory of Diane Minnis, Hematology Division, Ross 1025, John Hopkins University School of Medicine, 720 Rutland Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21205.
