With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of, Diane Mary Smith, who left this world on August 29, 2024, at the age of 72. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Diane’s unwavering strength, kindness, and unconditional love touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on November 11, 1951, in Old Town, ME, Diane was a radiant presence from the start. Her life was a testament to the power of compassion and the beauty of selflessness. As a mother, she was unmatched in her devotion, nurturing her children with a love that was both fierce and gentle.
Diane dedicated her life to her family, ensuring that each member felt cherished and valued. Her home was always a sanctuary of warmth, filled with laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel special, whether through her heartfelt advice, her generous spirit, or her simple acts of kindness.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband, William Smith of Manchester, NH, Children, John Roy of Nashua NH, Tracie (Sam) Lyford of Bedford NH, and Jessica Smith of Manchester, NH, her grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Roy, Cody and Colton Lyford; great grandchildren and her siblings, Linda (Gary) Jackson, Tim (Cindy) Dupuis, Donna Dupuis, Daniel (Michelle) Dupuis, and Nancy (Ron) England; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Romeo and Anntoinette Dupuis.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who offered their support and love during this time. A celebration of Diane’s remarkable life will be held on October 5, 2024, at the North Garden (Lounge) 715 Mast Rd. Manchester, NH, from 12n – 4pm, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and share their cherished stories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, continuing her legacy of generosity and care.
Diane’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and an enduring example of how one person’s love can make the world a brighter place. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
