IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dianne
Covey
April 12, 1944 – March 8, 2026
Dianne Eloise (Diehm) Covey, daughter of Evelyn G (Bendig) Diehm and Edward John Diehm, born on April 12, 1944, in Rutland, VT, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, March 8, 2026. She is survived by her loving, dedicated husband of 55 years, Delmar Craig Covey, along with her seven children, Erich P Covey, Melu M Ragsdale, Sean C Covey, Seth G Covey, Genevieve R Deschaine, Suzanne H Covey and Heather D Wilkins. Dianne was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Bonnie Noyes, Susan Diehm Fletcher, Pamela Sinkler, Denise Diehm and a brother, John Diehm.
Dianne always took great pride in her family, supporting many of her children’s interests alongside her own passions, most notably international travel, music, theatre and opera. During her lifetime, she visited the countries of Mexico, Spain and Italy, learning Spanish as a way to blend into the local communities and experience these countries as a native rather than a tourist. Dianne also made several pilgrimages to New York City to see some of her favorite opera performers at the Met and at Carnegie Hall.
Her faith always held a prominent place in her day-to-day activities, and served as the driving motivator in her life, seeking to demonstrate her faith through words and deeds. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she made her ministry a central pillar, always sharing her faith with all who expressed an interest in listening. She embraced her faith and moral compass, using it as a model to teach her children, desiring for all of them to lead happy, loving and successful lives.
Dianne was dedicated to her family and friends, welcoming all into her home, providing a listening ear and a generous heart, not just to her children and siblings, but also to many of her friends and fellow members of her local congregation. Her example and lessons generosity were an inspiration to all who knew her and has left a legacy which will be remembered. Dianne’s impact will be felt and celebrated long after her passing. She will be missed yet remain alive in our hearts and memories.
