Dianne C. (Holt) Murphy, 63, of 60 Green Rd Kingston, died peacefully at her home on July 2, 2004 following a long illness. She was born in Flushing, NY on June 5, 1941, the daughter of Leo and Carlotta (Conrow) Holt and had been a Kingston resident for the past 13 years. Dianne loved sailing, a hobby she had pursued with her family for 20 years. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her many friends and family. She was a devoted mother. She has also been a private caregiver for several friends and family members. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, William Murphy, her daughter, Daryl Ann Lyons of Kingston; a son Patrick Gunnor Murphy of Newton; five grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Holt, of Newbury, MA; and nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. Dianne loved sailing, gardening and spending time with her many friends and family. She was a kind and generous person and will never be forgotten by those who loved her. A Day of Remembrance will be held Sunday, July 11 from 10 AM to 4 PM at her home on Country Pond in Kingston. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
