Dolor V. Drolet, 82, of 54 Emerald Drive in Laconia died on February 15, 2002 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Drolet was born on October 21, 1919 in Pittsfield, New Hampshire the son of the late Antonio and Oliva (Bouchard) Drolet. He was a US Army Veteran who served during World War II. He served his country in Japan, the Philippines and New Guinea where he received the Bronze Star. He was a carpenter for RJ Gilbert Builders in Laconia for 60 years. Mr. Drolet was a member of the Laconia Knights of Columbus and was a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight and had been a member since 1966. He was a long time communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia. Family members include; one son, Alan H. Drolet of Laconia; one daughter, Susan Flanders of Belmont; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Roland Drolet of Florida; and one sister, Rita Laberge of Suncook. He was predeceased by is wife, Rachel (Hamel) Drolet, in 1998.
