Donald R (Gordon) Boynton ( Don) 40 years old of Bow, NH went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Dec 10,2011 at Concord Hospital after a long, well fought struggle with Diabetes.
Don was born March 23, 1971 in Waterville, Maine to the late Gloria (Bowen) Boynton and Robert Gordon of Harmony, Maine. As a child he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and in his teen years he was a member of Civil Air Patrol. Don Graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1990. He was then trained as a Firefighter and EMT and volunteered for the Epsom Fire Dept for 10 years .
In his early years he lived in Dexter, Maine until the age of five years old. The family moved to Concord, NH until he was 10 years old. They then moved to Epsom, NH where he spent most of his school years. He married his high school sweet heart, Deborah Cochran, in September of 1991. They lived in Epsom, NH for seven years and then moved to Concord, NH in 1998. They moved to Franklin, NH in 2002 and then moved back to Concord, NH in 2003. They remained there until 2010 and then purchased a home in Bow, NH and Don remained there until his death. He was employed by the State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, from 1989-2003, as a trades worker until he become ill. In 2007 he returned to work part-time for the State of NH State Hospital as a building service worker 2. He retired in August, 2010, due to his illness. Don was a member of First Baptist Church of Concord, NH from 1991-2003. He became a member of Trinity Baptist Church in 2003 until his death. He was a long time Nascar fan and went to the NH Motor Speedway. He enjoyed listening to his radio scanners. The beach was a great love for him and hiking in the White Mountains. Of all these things that he enjoyed, his family was his first love. Included in his family are his beloved pets, Max, Molly, Meeko, and Grace.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Deborah (Cochran) Boynton of Bow, NH. His daughter, Alicia (Boynton) Simonton, and her husband, Aaron of Concord, NH. His daughter, Brooke Boynton of Bow, NH. He also leaves behind an unborn grandson, Marshall Donald Simonton. His is survived by his father, Robert Gordon and wife, Merlene of Maine. Paternal grandmother, Ruth Gordon of Madison, Maine. Sister, Sheryl (Boynton) Proulx and her husband, Tony of Henniker, NH. Sister, Susan (Boynton) Bonnano and her husband of Warner, NH. Uncle, Timmy Gordon and wife, Sigrid of Maine. Aunt, Judy Greene and husband Reggie of Maine. Aunt, Sheila Kelley and her husband, Arthur of Maine. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Gloria (Bowen) Boynton in 1996. Sister, Kimberly Mae Thompson. Maternal grandmother, Teresa (Flanders) Bowen in 2001. Maternal grandfather, Gladwyn Donald Bowen in 2003. Paternal grandfather, Stanley Russel l Gordon in 2004. Uncle, Stanley (Sonny) Gordon in 2010. He is also survived by many Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
The memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 80 Clinton St, Concord, NH, Wednesday, December 14, at 10am. The burial will be at the convenience of the family.
