Donald L. Couture
Donald L. Couture, 82, of Nashua NH, peacefully passed away on December 28, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at the Clough Center in New London, NH.
He was born on February 24, 1931, in Nashua, and was the son of the late Lionel and Rose (Derosiers) Couture.
Donald was raised in Nashua and was also a lifelong resident. He loved life and was a kind and caring man. He was paramount in the lives of his family and will be remembered as a generous friend to all, and as a loving, caring father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a home body who loved his wife, Mary, of 59 years, and his family. He loved the beach and being near the water, building clocks and trains, fishing, entertaining and dining out with friends. Enlisting in the Navy in 1951, Donald was a Korean War Veteran who honorably and proudly, served his country. After his military separation, he became a supervisor for Royal Business Forms in Nashua, working in the printing business for 36 years. Donald also worked for Standard Hardware in Merrimack, and did so until his retirement.
Donald is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Grisson and her husband James from Hollis, NH, Catherine Bardier and her husband Scott from Newbury, NH, his grandchildren, Dallas Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Travis Anderson, Caela Budd, Dylan Budd, and his great granddaughter, Riley Anderson.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary and by both of his parents.
Services: A life celebration will be held on Saturday, January 4th at 11am at the Cremation Society for New Hampshire at Phanuefs Funeral Home 243 Hanover St. Manchester with services starting at 11:45. Interment will be held at a later time and will be private.
