Donald T.
Deihle
December 21, 1947 – April 20, 2026
Cremation Society of NH
5:00 - 7:00 pm (Eastern time)
Donald Thomas Deihle, 78, of Candia, NH, passed peacefully at home on April 20, 2026, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 21, 1947, in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late John Deihle and May (Schultheiss) Emerson.
A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in the Vietnam War, Don carried the values of honor, loyalty, and quiet courage throughout his life. For 48 years he has owned and operated Don Deihle Siding in Candia, earning a reputation for hard work, fine craftsmanship, and integrity. He took pride in every job and in the relationships, he built with customers and neighbors alike.
Don’s true passion was deep-sea fishing. He loved early mornings on the water—the salt air, the rhythm of the ocean, and camaraderie of long days at sea making memories with friends and family. Fishing stories, jokes and laughter were never in short supply when in his company.
Widowed after more than 44 years of marriage to his beloved Joanne (Collette) Deihle, Don later found renewed joy with his fiancée, June Heselton. He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne; his parents, John Deihle and May (Schultheiss) Emerson; and his sisters, Sandra Wurzburg and Dorothy Greene.
He is survived by his children, Aaron Deihle of Candia, NH, Crystal Mandigo of Lovell, ME, Fred Robinson of Middleton, NH, and Travis Deihle of Golden Valley, AZ, and their spouses; grandchildren and great‑grandchildren; and a wide circle of family, fellow Marines, friends, and fishing companions.
Don will be lovingly remembered for his devotion to country and family, his love of the sea, his quick wit, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. His spirit lives on in the memories, stories, and laughter he shared with so many.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester, NH.
