Donald C. Fales Sr., 65, of Antrim, NH, died Friday, August 27, 2004 at Mass.General Hospital after an illness. He was born September 30th 1938 in Keene, N.H. the son of Kenneth and Lilla (Johnson) Fales. He was a lifelong resident of the Hillsboro/Antrim area. He served in the Army National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. Fales was employed by Woods Woolen Company in Hillsboro and Patenaude Lumber in Henniker where he retired. He was a member of the American Legion Post 59 in Hillsboro, and Loyal Order of the Moose Post 1091. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, pool and cribbage. In his younger years he played for the Hillsboro Mens Softball League and was an accomplished bowler, setting many records. Survivors include four children; Tammy Buker of Hillsboro, Terri Hurst of Washington, Donald C. Fales Jr. of Antrim, and Christina Fales of Antrim; one brother, Kenneth Fales Jr. of Antrim; six grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; Aunts and Uncle, nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the Maple Ave. Cemetery in Hillsboro on Friday September 3rd at 4p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 59, 538 Main Street, Hillsboro 03244. The Cremation Society of NH is in charge of arrangements.
