Donald Tessier

Donald "Don" Francis Tessier, passed away in peace on Friday, May 5th, 2017 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire at age 61 surrounded by his loved ones.

Don's story starts on January 9th, 1956 in Somerville, Massachusetts, where he was born the youngest of four children to Ronald E. Tessier and Marie Patterson (Alexander). Don grew up and lived in Mass until he later moved to NH in the 1990s.

Don loved his family and extended family. He often helped his brother Bob and sister-in-law Carolyn with their busy children when they were growing up, getting them to school, taking them to doctor's appointments, or even just taking them for a bike ride or to enjoy a day at the park.

Don worked at various establishments over the years. His greatest and most memorable "career" was being a wise guy. He always had a joke about something that most of the time would take you by surprise. He would often wear t-shirts with obscene or comical sayings on them and he loved to show them off. He loved making people laugh and smile. Don always had a comeback for everything, like when his niece Michele would say "That's my Uncle" his response was always "You know it" and "Don't forget it, hell, tell all of your friends." Don would also often make jokes about his niece Sarah's cooking and when her food came out excellent he would tell people "it's because I was supervising."

Don enjoyed playing card games like cribbage, spades, and hearts. He loved to beat his niece at games and would do a happy dance and jokingly taunt her when he won that she needs to play like the professional that he is. He was an avid Boston Sports Fan, particularly the Boston Bruins. He enjoyed watching every Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics game. He loved spending time with family and friends.

Members of his family include, his 90 year old mother Marie Patterson of Charlestown, MA; brother John Tessier and wife Amelia of Billerica, MA; sister, Karen (Tessier) Reed and husband Arthur of Medford, MA; nieces Sarah Tessier and her husband Ismail Lukyamuzi of Manchester, NH; Michele Gilbault and her husband Gregory of Johnston, RI; Catherine Reed of Medford, MA; nephews Robert Marchese of Boston, MA; Robert Tessier of Manchester, NH; John Tessier of Billerica, MA; Arthur Reed of Medford, MA; great nieces Nevaeh Tessier of Johnston, RI; Jennifer Reed of Medford, MA; great nephew Antonio Tessier of Manchester, NH. He was predeceased by his brother Robert (Bob) in 2015 and sister-in-law Carolyn in 2004.
